Mentor Makers is a 'train the trainer' style program designed to help experienced screen professionals become mentors for other, less experienced or early-stage practitioners.
This workshop is FREE for Screenworks members who are credited professionals or Heads of Department. There are only seven spots available. Ticket registrations will be reviewed to ensure the participants are credited professionals.
This workshop is part of Screenworks' Set for Success program, supported by Screen Australia, and delivered by Monica Davidson from Creative Plus Business.

The focus of the program is heightening the skills of experienced practitioners as they develop the empathetic and respectful approach needed to become an excellent mentor, advisor and/or coach. Mentor Makers helps them to learn best practice for sharing their knowledge with others, and sustainable and effective ways to provide mentoring in an ongoing fashion for less- experienced colleagues and mentees.

Mentor Makers will run online on December 3rd from 10am to 2pm, NSW AEDT, with breaks. Please factor in daylight savings.

Monica is an award-winning expert on the creative industries. She started as a freelance writer, performer, and filmmaker, and after launching her production company, she began sharing her entrepreneurial learnings by mentoring and teaching other creatives.
In 2013, she consolidated her knowledge with a Master's degree in Screen Arts and Business from AFTRS, and shortly after was appointed as Australia's first Creative Industries Business Advisor.
Monica founded Creative Plus Business in 2016, a social enterprise that educates creative practitioners about business, money and marketing. She also continues her own work, releasing her feature documentary/musical Handbag on SBS in 2023.
