Meet The Broadcaster: SBS/NITV

Thursday 7th July | 2.30 - 4.30pm

The Rydges Esplanade Resort | Joseph Banks Room, 209 - 217 Abbott St. Cairns City

Doors will open at 2.00pm for a 2.30pm start 



Join Screen Queensland in conversation with SBS & NITV for two hours where screen creatives and practitioners from Far North Queensland and North Queensland will be provided with an invaluable opportunity to find out about future programming openings, content trends for SBS & NITV, and to get advice on how to pitch. 

Kylie Munnich, Screen Queensland CEO will be speaking with Julie Eckersley, SBS Head of Scripted; John Godfrey, SBS Head of Unscripted; Emily Griggs, SBS Head of Entertainment & Food; and Marissa McDowell, NITV Commissioning Editor asking them to provide an insight into the commissioning slate and ambitions for SBS in 2022/2023.

If you have any burning questions for any of our incredible guests, please make sure you add them to your registration and they will hopefully be included in the Q&A.

This event is being offered to FNQ & NQ residents for free on a first-served basis. Places are limited and attendance will be capped at 100 people.  

At the registration stage, you will have the option to ask up to three questions. Not all questions will be asked due to time restraints.

Post Event information:

A Networking Event will be held immediately after the forum from 4.30 - 6.30pm - further details will be given to event attendees. Finger food will be provided.



There will be the opportunity to secure a 15min one-on-one meeting with one of the guest speakers on the morning after the event, Friday 8th July 2022 at CQU, Cairns. Details on how to book these meetings will be provided to registered attendees at a time closer to the event.
