As part of Screenworks' Consultation program, we have not 1, but 3, wonderful GUEST SPEAKERS to host our July Member Consultations. There are six bookable spots for Regional Members to spend 30 minutes with our guests.
Introducing LEE NAIMO, PHOEBE WILLEMS & LOUISE COCKS from Screen Australia's Online and Games Team - to host our JULY MEMBER CONSULTATIONS.
The team can talk to these points:
- what projects are suitable for online and games
- seeking funding
- online projects advice
- gaming projects advice
These half-hour slots, which can be booked via Glue Up on a first come, first served basis, are available to current Screenworks Regional Members who would like to get some general and friendly advice on their screen careers or avenues to connect with other screen practitioners or professionals to progress projects.
Consultations will take place via Zoom - bring a cuppa! The block of bookable slots will be available at Wednesday 26th July and held between 11am and 2pm*. Future blocks will be released approximately two weeks in advance of the consultation dates.
*One slot per person, do not book more than one time. Screenworks reserves the right to cancel bookings.

She joined the Online team in 2019 having previously worked as a Film Programmer for Village Cinemas Australia and as a creator/actor in web series, theatre shows and more.
Her role includes managing development, production and completion funding for multiple online projects across YouTube, Facebook, ABC iView, SBS OnDemand, as well as VR projects. Series she has managed have been selected for SXSW and CanneSeries. She has worked across initiatives with partners such as SBS, YouTube, TikTok and Snapchat, this includes but is not limited to Digital Originals, Every Voice and Skip Ahead.
Louise is passionate about supporting writers, producers, and other creators to get their start in the industry and to produce work which resonates with an international audience. She loves everything about film, television and all things screen and is most at home in the dark auditorium of a cinema eating popcorn
Lee Naimo is a professional writer, actor, comedian and government employee. As one-third of the musical comedy troupe, The Axis of Awesome,he has toured the world and written songs and sketches that have achieved hundreds of millions of views online. Over the ten year history, the Axis of Awesome built an army of fans worldwide, in part due to their hugely popular Four Chords song, which itself has over 100 million hits on YouTube.
Lee is an accomplished solo performer and writer, having recently been the head writer on Whose Line Is It Anyway? Australia as well as writing several solo sketch shows that have toured Australia. He is also the co-creator and Creative Producer of Insert Coin, an online sketch comedy series about video games with over 2 million views. Since 2018 he has worked for Screen Australia as an Online Investment Manager, where he has supported hugely successful online content such as Sarah’s Channel, Content, Superwog, Over and Out, Glennridge Secondary College, At Home Alone Together and many more. He is also responsible for setting up initiatives such as Pitcher Perfect with VidCon, Digital Originals with SBS and Snapchat + Screen Australia, which is the first-ever Australian partnership with mobile platform Snapchat.

Development and Production Officer - Online at Screenaustralia
https://www.screenaustralia.gov.auPhoebe Willems is an Investment and Development Manager in Screen Australia’s online team, assessing production and development funding applications for emerging creators and short form projects. In the past, Phoebe has worked as a script report writer and was a co-writer on Season 3 of the online queer series Flunk. Phoebe has a Masters of Film and Television from the Victorian College of the Arts and in a past life was a gymnastics coach.
