Screenworks, in partnership with Southern Cross University, is pleased to be hosting the 2022 Screen Media Careers Forum, which will take place online on Tuesday 6 September 10:30am-1pm AEST.

A panel of highly experienced screen media professionals will share real-world advice and insights on how to pursue careers in this highly competitive industry.

Each of the guest speakers will talk about their career journeys, the work they do in the industry, and the opportunities that exist for graduates and early career screen media practitioners. Areas covered will include jobs in film, TV, music videos and commercials and creating, designing and producing for online platforms and social media.

This lively and informative panel, including a Q+A opportunity for online attendees to ask questions, will be facilitated by Southern Cross University Chair of Creative Arts Grayson Cooke.

Following the panel discussion, there'll be a special In Conversation session featuring participants of the 2021 Southern Cross University Mentorship Program. Student mentees Felicity Pengilly and Joe Swepson will discuss their opportunities and advice on finding work in the screen industry. We'll also hear from one of the Mentorship Program's screen industry mentors, Sara Taghaode from Brisbane-based Kiosk Film.

This online webinar is open to SCU students and all those interested in pursuing exciting and rewarding careers in the screen media industry. It's a must-attend for anyone interested in screen media opportunities and seeking advice and inspiration to kick-start an exciting new career.
