A 3-PART INDUSTRY DEVELOPMENT WEBINAR SERIES
Screenworks, supported by Screen NSW, is pleased to be hosting a series of three practical online webinars covering key aspects of production budgeting, financing and money management.
These online sessions are designed to give attendees practical tools to help them plan and execute productions of all genres and sizes.
The series will run fortnightly from early August 2021 as follows:

An introduction to production budgets and cost reports for drama and documentary projects, presented by Kelly Vincent, Project Manager at Screen Australia.
Webinar 2 - Creating Competitive Funding Applications (Tues 17 Aug 2pm) (click for more info)
A how-to guide on preparing winning funding applications, including how to put together clear and compelling finance plans and budget proposals, presented by Screen NSW Investment Manager Andrea Ulbrick.

Each session will be approx 2 hours.

Speakers
Andrena Finlay began her producing career in London with a 35mm short film, The Privilege, which won the 1984 BAFTA and the Bilbao Film Festival gold award for best short film.
From this start, she has built a sustainable industry career, spanning over three decades of entrepreneurial and creative independent producing.
She has made ten feature films, two telemovies and four short films, was Head of Producing at AFTRS and Drama Investment Manager at the Film Finance Corporation, the predecessor of Screen Australia. She has also raised two children.
Her present venture, Screen Arts Business Consulting (Screen ABC), combines her two professional passions, filmmaking and education. It offers emerging screen practitioners one-on-one mentoring as they shape and build their careers and projects; producer-focused short courses in feature film financing, budgeting, development and pitching; and two-hour interactive skills labs on all topics relevant to producing. www.screenabc.com
She has co-written a book with Sue Milliken – Producing For the Screen: a Handbook – intended to demystify the producer journey of taking a “lightbulb” idea and turning it into a finished project.
Emma Madison is a screen industry executive with more than 15 years experience in royalty distribution. During her time at Screenrights she has overseen payment of more than $300 million in royalties to companies and screen practitioners in Australia and around the world.
In her current role as Head of Commercial & Industry Services Emma is developing a range of new solutions for the industry to help navigate recoupment of investment and understand the financial performance of content in an increasingly fragmented market. She also oversees Screenrights' Disbursement Service, its new Residuals Service and secondary royalty collections from overseas.
