Workshop:

Writers Room, Workshop and Pitch: The Story of The Story —Adam Grossetti Unpacks The Making Of The Black Hand.

Time: 10:30 am – 2:30 pm

Born in Innisfail and raised in Cairns, Adam Grossetti will take attendees on a behind-the-scenes journey, as he shares his personal experience of bringing his idea to life on the screen. From the initial spark of inspiration to the challenges and triumphs along the way, Adam will take you through the many twists and turns that led to the creation of ABC's sugarcane mafia documentary The Black Hand. Get ready to hear a first-hand account filled with highs and lows, obstacles overcome and insights learned as Adam shares his account of the many years and divergent paths he took to turn his vision into a reality.

Attendees will gain valuable insights into the storytelling process, discover ways to transform ideas into well-crafted stories and develop and refine stories with a broad audience appeal.

The session will conclude with a casual test pitch session, to openly present ideas to Adam and Screen Queensland's Rowena Billard and Tanya Ellen for general feedback.
