SECONDARY ROYALTIES AND THE 2023 CULTURAL FUND

We are pleased to be partnering with Screenrights to deliver a comprehensive two part webinar on:
1) Royalty payments - what they are, where they come from and how they are calculated
2) An update on the 2023 Screenrights Cultural Fund.
Speakers Sarah and Maha will take you through the following topics:
- Understand where secondary royalty payments come from and how they are calculated
- Find out about different types of royalties that your programs can receive from education, government, retransmission, and others around the world such as lending
- Get an insight into the Screenrights annual Cultural Fund, and how you may be able to access up to $50K in grant funding for initiatives that benefit the screen industry
Speakers
Maha Ismail is Screenrights' Head of Member Services. Maha directs and oversees Screenrights' industry engagement and service delivery to over 4,000 screen industry members internationally. She has over 15 years' experience facilitating partnerships between Australian content creators and international market players and delivering services and opportunities to the screen industry.
Sarah Steel looks after Screenrights' Cultural Fund as its Administrator, and also manages marketing and industry support for the organisation. With a background in film distribution and festivals, she brings a wealth of experience to Screenrights and is passionate about supporting initiatives that make a difference with the Cultural Fund grant program, now in its sixth year.
