Workshop: Media Mentors, Make it Townsville: Pathways to a Successful Screen Industry Career

Time: 9.30am – 5pm

This full day workshop will give selected participants from Townsville a creative and a professional skill boost.

Esther Coleman Hawkins & Denise Eriksen (Media Mentors Australia) will guide, mentor and help attendees to kickstart their screen careers, network successfully and get screen industry work to ensure a dynamic and successful 2023.

This workshop will arm you with the skills to:

• Clarify your professional direction and your plan to get there
• Stay well connected to the industry in person at conferences and meetings across the nation or even online from FNQ
• Focus on your personal development; You need to know who you are, what you're good at and how to communicate that to the people who matter to reach your goal
• How to approach getting work - selling yourself and your skills.

There is also a little pre and post work included that will ensure that the contents and lessons aren't just a 'nice day out' but will have long term value to the careers of people in Townsville.
