Will Gammon (Founder/CEO & VFX Supervisor of Cumulus VFX)

Will Gammon

Founder/CEO & VFX Supervisor of Cumulus VFX

A proud Visual Effects Society (VES) and Ausfilm member, Will brings over 2 decades of industry experience to the table; with shots from multiple HARRY POTTER and THE LORD OF THE RINGS films on his personal reel. As a VFX Supervisor he has gained recognition internationally and earned the trust of clients such as Bazmark (ELVIS), Netflix (MAN VS BEE, LOCKWOOD & CO), and Disney (NAUTILUS).

As Cumulus’ CEO, Will has accomplished the steady growth of the business and team, just this year opening a second premises on Queensland’s Gold Coast. Cumulus now fosters two studios for over 40 crew; who blend innovative solutions with leading edge tech to deliver industry-standard results from regional destinations.

Cumulus VFX’s sister company, Byron Studios, was founded in 2020 when an opportunity arose to gain consistency of locally-based work for the community of Northern Rivers screen practitioners. The Byron Studios team converted a disused basketball court into a sound stage capable of successfully hosting filming of a full season of Netflix episodic, GOD'S FAVOURITE IDIOT.

Through Cumulus VFX and Byron Studios, Will is challenging the narrative that screen production needs to be backed by ‘capital city’ services to compete on the global stage, and that arts practitioners need to base themselves in large cities to pursue their craft.
