Life's A Pitch And Then You Buy! - A Pitch Workshop With Producer/Director, Mandy Lake In Association with WIFT (Women in Film and Television Australia).

This full-day workshop will comprehensively take you into the glorious art of pitching. Filmmakers will learn not only how to sell their stories and projects, but also themselves.

The session will cover: 

• Personal and professional brands
• Marketing principles
• Finding the hooks and emotional 'button pushers'
• Developing written pitch materials and teasers
• The physical pitch
• Creating connections and networking tactics (do not, at all costs, follow people into the toilet!)
• Potential funding sources
• Marketplaces
• Industry contacts to pitch

The workshop will be highly interactive with group activities throughout. Participants will have the opportunity to put their newfound skills into practice through one-on-one speed pitches with producers Mandy Lake (Flick Chicks) and Liz Tomkins.

This session will help attendees to prepare for other pitching opportunities over the three-day forum.

Attendees are very much encouraged to bring their pre-existing pitch materials into the workshop, for feedback.
